Scale and Proportion
Two approaches. One: step back and include vast architecture, empty space, or landscape. Your subject becomes a figure in a world - small, contextualised, dwarfed. Two: move close and let the human fill the frame entirely. No context. Just face and expression.
Both say something different. The first is about the world. The second is about the person.
Watch for: accidentally landing in the middle - subject not small enough to feel dwarfed, not close enough to feel intimate. Commit to one or the other.
Any. Wide angle for dwarfed subjects. Longer lens for close faces.
