Jobs

Street Manual is a small, independent project built by photographers, for photographers. We don't hire often. When we do, we look for people who care about the craft first and everything else second.

The role

We're looking for someone to help us build Street Manual's presence on Instagram and TikTok. This isn't a corporate content job. We're not after polished brand videos or trend-chasing Reels. We want someone who goes out and shoots, who has opinions about photography, and who can talk about the craft in a way that feels real.

You'd be working with the founder to produce content that teaches, inspires, and occasionally makes people laugh — using the Street Manual card deck as the creative starting point. Some of it will be filmed on location. Some will be shot-and-shared from your phone. All of it should feel like it comes from someone who actually cares about this stuff.

What we're looking for

  • You love street photography — not just the idea of it, but the actual act of going out and making pictures.
  • You're comfortable in front of a camera. Not necessarily polished, but natural. We want personality, not performance.
  • You can write. Short captions, longer explainers, it doesn't matter — you can communicate clearly and with your own voice.
  • You understand what makes content work on Instagram and TikTok without being cynical about it.
  • You're based in or near London, Essex, or Hertfordshire — or willing to travel occasionally for shoots.
  • You're a self-starter. This is ad-hoc, flexible work. We need someone who can run with a brief rather than wait for direction.

Nice to have

  • Your own body of street photography work — a portfolio, a feed, a Flickr account, anything.
  • Experience creating content for a photography brand, publication, or community.
  • Knowledge of Lightroom, Capture One, or any editing workflow.

How to apply

Send an email to luke@streetmanual.com with the subject line Content Creator. Tell us a bit about yourself, why you shoot, and include a link to any photography or content you've made. No CV required. We care more about your eye than your CV.
