Where it works: car shows, car boot sales, markets, county shows, seaside fronts, allotments — anywhere people set up and settle in for the day.

Best time: the mid-afternoon lull, when energy has dropped and people have sunk into their chairs.

Look for: the whole unit in one frame — chair, person and the thing they're guarding — shot straight and unironically. Wide enough to show the setup, deadpan enough to let it speak.
